We respect intellectual property rights and take claims of copyright infringement very seriously. To maintain a safe, fair, and legally compliant environment for our users, this Copyright Infringement Policy (“Policy”) outlines how copyright-related complaints are handled on the Ritbiz app and platform (“Platform”).
By using Ritbiz, you agree to abide by this Policy, which forms part of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Content Guidelines.

- Ritbiz does not tolerate copyright infringement of any kind.
- We promptly investigate complaints, remove infringing content where appropriate, and take corrective actions, including terminating repeat infringers’ accounts.

2. What is Copyright?
Copyright is a legal right that protects original creative works such as:

- Written works (articles, blogs, stories, etc.)

Only the copyright owner or their authorized representative may file a complaint of infringement.
3. Fair Use and Exceptions
Before filing a complaint, copyright owners should consider whether the usage may qualify as fair use or fall under other exceptions permitted by law. Examples include:

If the content qualifies under these exceptions, Ritbiz may not take down such material.
4. Filing a Copyright Infringement Complaint
If you believe that your copyright-protected work has been uploaded or shared on Ritbiz without authorization, please send a Copyright Infringement Notice to:
Your notice must contain the following information:
- Contact Information: Your full legal name, email address, phone number, and physical mailing address.
- Identification of Work(s): A clear description of the copyrighted work(s) you believe have been infringed.
- Location of Infringing Material: The URL(s) or direct link(s) to the specific Ritbiz content allegedly infringing your copyright.
- Good Faith Statement: A declaration that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement: A statement that the information you have provided is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Electronic Signature: Your typed or electronic signature to validate the complaint.
5. Important Considerations
- Only copyright owners or their authorized representatives may submit a complaint.
- If you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing, you may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, incurred by Ritbiz or its users.
- Information submitted in your complaint may be forwarded to the user who posted the content and may be disclosed publicly to comply with applicable law. If privacy is a concern, we recommend filing through an agent.
6. Ritbiz’s Actions on Receipt of Complaint
Once a valid notice is received:
- Ritbiz will acknowledge and review the complaint.
- Infringing content may be removed or disabled within 24–48 hours of verification.
- Repeat infringers may face temporary suspension or permanent account termination.
- Where appropriate, Ritbiz may also report the matter to relevant legal authorities.
7. Counter-Notification (If You Believe Your Content Was Wrongly Removed)
If you are a Ritbiz user whose content has been removed in response to a copyright complaint, but you believe this was a mistake or qualifies as fair use, you may submit a counter-notification. This must include:
- Your full contact details.
- Identification of the removed content.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of your local courts for resolving disputes.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, Ritbiz may restore the content unless the copyright complainant files legal action within the required timeframe.
8. Repeat Infringement Policy
To protect our community, Ritbiz enforces a “three-strike rule” for repeat copyright violations:
- First violation: Warning and removal of infringing content.
- Second violation: Temporary account suspension.
- Third violation: Permanent account termination.
9. Disclaimer
- Ritbiz is not responsible for user-generated content hosted on its platform.
- Ritbiz acts as an intermediary platform and responds to valid legal notices in good faith.
- This Policy is intended to comply with applicable copyright laws, including the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and safe-harbor provisions under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
